Afyalytics is transforming healthcare delivery in Tanzania by enabling public health facilities to improve demand forecasting and inventory management. It empowers healthcare workers to detect gaps, validate data, and ensure more accurate quantification of essential commodities—leading to fewer stockouts, reduced wastage, and improved medicine availability at the last mile.
The platform is already in use by over 1,000 facilities and continues to scale rapidly. Its forecast review component developed in partnership with InSupply Health and the Ministry of Health is now embedded as a data validation step within the Bottom-Up Quantification (BUQ) module of the national electronic logistics management information system (eLMIS), expanding its reach to thousands more facilities participating in national quantification exercises. This integration marks a significant milestone in institutionalizing Afyalytics as a routine decision-support tool.

Initially rolled out in over 1,000 facilities, Afyalytics is now embedded as a data validation step within the BUQ module of the eLMIS. This integration significantly expands its footprint, allowing thousands more facilities to use the platform as part of routine national quantification exercises. Its intuitive design ensures that even healthcare workers with limited data skills can generate meaningful insights to support planning and stock management.
What makes Afyalytics unique is its contextual design—it was co-developed with Tanzanian healthcare workers, aligns with national policies, and supports multi-level use, from facilities to national programs.
