Innovation serves as a fundamental catalyst for growth in every sector of the economy, playing a pivotal role in driving sustainability at a global, national and regional scale. For innovation to drive real change, however, it must be scaled and extended beyond pilot settings to achieve sustained impact at a population level.
At the Million Lives Collective, we have created the Public Sector Scaling (PSS) Readiness Toolkit, a tool for innovators who wish to transition to scale via the public sector.
Government systems, whether in health, education, infrastructure, or agriculture are uniquely positioned to institutionalise and sustain innovations over time. They hold the mandate to serve populations at scale, the authority to influence policies and budgets and the legitimacy to ensure equity in service delivery. Without alignment with public systems and priorities, even the most promising innovations risk remaining siloed or short-lived.
This tool aims to serve as a valuable resource for innovators, policymakers, practicioners, and stakeholders striving to navigate the intricacies of scaling innovation in the public-sector, all in pursuit of sustainable impact.
