RestoringVision is a leading global nonprofit dedicated to addressing the unmet need for eyeglasses in impoverished communities across the globe. Each year, the organization helps millions of people living on less than $2/day gain clear vision in order to increase productivity, continue working and earning an income, learning, and performing everyday tasks. Since 2003, RestoringVision has reached over 19 million people in 136 countries with its programs.

Uncorrected vision impairment is one of the biggest global health crises impacting the lives of over 2.5 billion people. Of those, over 500 million only need a pair of glasses to see clearly again but don't have access to or can't afford them.
Through a network of strategic partners in the optical industry and a network of over 1,400 service delivery partners, we are able to provide new, high-quality glasses for free to people living in some the most remote and impoverished communities around the world, and we are able to do this for less than $1.00 per pair. We are one of the world’s largest providers of glasses. To date, we have impacted the lives of over 15 million people in 130 countries. At RestoringVision, we believe that good vision is everyone’s basic human right.
The Innovation
Poor vision impacts all areas of people's lives, including the ability to work which affects their economic status and quality of life – for them and their families. This does not have to be the case. The answer lies in a 700-year-old invention – a simple pair of glasses. Since 2003, RestoringVision has been working to solve this problem by developing the most efficient distribution network of glasses to people living in some of the most remote impoverished communities around the world.
Through our strategic partnerships with the top leaders in the optical industry and over 1,400 NGOs, we are able to provide the gift of sight to people who would otherwise not have access to glasses. This has allowed us to become the largest non-profit provider of new, high-quality glasses and change the lives of over 15 million people in 130 countries.
